Steele County Public Health is very unique as it is the only office within the state that is a one person office and not part of a health district.  Some of the services our Public Health office offers are: 

Environmental Services
Sanitarian services help protect the health and safety of the public. Environmental Services include:

 Home Nursing

Nursing services tailored to individuals and families in the home promote, maintain, or restore health and minimize the effects of disability and illness.

  • Weekly medication administration
  • Convalescence care following surgery or illness
  • Education
  • Maintenance care: Blood pressure, blood sugar and hemoglobin tests, weights and assessments

Maternal-Child Health

School Nursing
Prevention of interruption in health by early assessment and prevention helps children benefit from educational opportunities offered.
